I just had a Christmas phone call from a friend of mine who lives in Michigan. He said his wife hates winter.
Since early this morning, he told me, the snow had been falling heavily and it was now almost waist high.
The temperature had already dropped below zero and the north wind was increasing as well, a sure sign that it was going to be a frigid night.
He said that his wife had done nothing all morning, but look through the kitchen window.
He added that if the weather got much worse, he may have to let her indoors.
