The head of Carnival cruise lines apparently used to tell the story of an unhappy cruise ship passenger, who was throwing a tantrum at the pursers desk, just moments after boarding and while the ship was still docked in the port of Miami.
The manager tells of how he tried to intervene, but found out that the man was just furious because he was supposed to have an ocean view cabin.
In an attempt to rectify the situation, the manager asked for the ship deck plans, found the man’s cabin and pointed out to him that he indeed had a cabin with a window on the outside of the ship, looking out over the ocean.
The man replied, “So you say, but all I can see is the parking lot!”
I wonder whether the passenger actually enjoyed his cruise or found other dumb things to complain about during the voyage.
Sadly, you can’t fix stupid!
