Two elderly friends used to meet in the local park every day, where they would feed the pigeons, watch the squirrels and discuss the problems of the world, as you do.
One day, Colin, one of the friends, didn’t show up in the park.
Harry didn’t think much about it and figured that maybe Colin had a cold or something.
However, after he hadn’t seen Colin for more than a week, Harry really got worried about him.
Harry didn’t know where Colin lived, so he was unable to find out what had happened to him. With every passing day he was getting more anxious about him.
A month passed and Harry figured he had seen the last of Colin, but then one day he was walking through the park and lo and behold, there sat Colin on their bench!
Harry was very excited and happy to see him and told him so.
Then he said, “For crying out loud Colin, what in the world happened to you?”
Colin replied, “I have been in jail my friend”.
“In jail!” cried Harry. “What on earth for?’
“Well”, Colin said, “you know Sue, that cute little blonde waitress at the coffee shop that I sometimes go to?”
“How could I not remember her” said Harry. “What about her?”
“Well”, Colin replied, “one day she filed rape charges against me and at 89 years old, I was so proud that when I got into court, I pleaded guilty. The judge gave me 30 days for perjury”.
