A young mother took her son to the dentist as he had been having a lot of toothache lately.
The dentist told her that he had a tooth that was decayed and it would have to come out.
After the tooth had been removed, the dentist said to the young mother, “I am sorry madam, but I shall have to charge you $100 for pulling your boy’s tooth”.
“A hundred dollars!”, the young mother responded in shock. “Why do I have to pay $100? I understood you to say that you charged only $20 dollars for taking a tooth out!”
“Yes that’s correct” replied the dentist, “but your boy yelled so terribly that he scared four other patients out of the office!”
