A woman in our weight loss club was lamenting that she had actually gained weight since joining the club.
During her weekly report, she said that she had made her family’s favorite cake over the weekend, and they had eaten half of it at dinner.
The woman continued…
The next day, she said, she kept staring at the other half of the cake, it was torture. Finally, she cut a thin slice for herself. One slice led to another, and soon the whole cake was gone.
The woman went on to tell us just how upset she was with her lack of willpower, and how she knew that her husband would be disappointed in her.
Everyone felt really sorry for her, knowing just how hard it was sometimes to be strong with the temptation of home made cake around.
Then, someone asked what her husband said when he found out.
The woman smiled. “He never found out. I made another cake and ate half!”
