Murphy was walking home down a country lane when a car pulled up alongside him, stopped and the driver wound his window down.
“Could you tell me the way to Balbriggan, please?” asked the driver, who from his accent was obviously a visitor from England.
“Certainly sir”, Murphy said. “If you take the first road to the left… No that wouldn’t do… Drive on for about four miles then turn left at the crossroads… No that wouldn’t do either…”
Murphy scratched his head, deep in thought.
After doing a bit of thinking, Murphy said, “You know if I was going to Balbriggan, I wouldn’t start from here at all”.

Don’t you love these quaint Irish place names! Actually Balbriggan is a real place. It’s a small coastal town in Fingal in the northern part of the country of Dublin according to Wikipedia, where you can learn more about it.
