When Dolores got married, she put a shoe box in the closet and told her husband never to open it.
After over fifty years of marriage, she was confined to her bed and only had hours left to live, so she called her husband to her bedside and told him to get the box out of the closet and to open it.
Her husband did as his wife had asked and to his surprise, when he opened the shoe box, insde he found two doilies and $82,000.
Curious, he asked his wife about the contents of the mysterious shoe box.
“Well”, his wife replied, “when I got married, my Mother told me to crochet a doily every time I got mad at you”.
Her husband smiled, thinking she was only mad at him twice and asked her what the $82,000 was.
She replied, “that’s the money I collected from selling the doilies”.
