We went to see a cycle race in Sherwood Forest today.
It was advertised as a spectacular event with all the entrants being dressed up as the famous local outlaw from Sherwood Forest.
We found a place to stand and wait for the competitors and it wasn’t long before the trail of costumed entrants came along the track towards us.
As they went past us, we all cheered them on, singing “Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen”.
