Anyone who plays golf knows what it means to make the perfect shot. To hit the ball off the tee, striaght down the fairway and onto the green, going the full distance, bouncing gently and rolling up to the pin and into the hole. A hole in one! Now that’s what I call the perfect shot!
On a golf course in a country not far away, a man stood over his tee shot for what seemed an eternity. He was looking up, looking down, measuring the distance, figuring the wind direction and speed and as you might imagine it was driving his partner absolutely nuts.
Finally his exasperated partner said to him, “What’s taking you so long? Just hit the blasted ball.”
The man answered, “My wife is up there watching me from the clubhouse. I want to make this a perfect shot.”
“Forget it” his partner said, “you don’t stand a chance of hitting her from here.”
