One day, a hungry bear was sitting on the side of a river bank, watching a fish jumping out of the water trying to catch a fly.
The bear thought to himself, “if that fly would just drop six inches, the fish would jump up to get the fly and I can jump in the river and get my dinner”.
In a burrow by the river bank, a little mouse surveyed the situation.
The mouse thought to himself, “if that fly drops six inches, the fish will jump up to get the fly, the bear will jump in to get the fish and then I can safely leave and go find my dinner”.
In a tree above the river bank, a hungry cat looked down on the dilemna.
The cat thought to himself, “if that fly drops six inches, the fish is going to jump up to get the fly, the bear is going to get the fish, the mouse will run out and I will have MY dinner”.
This went on for a while, with the various animals all watching to see what was going to happen.
Evrntually, the fly dropped six inches, bringing it within reach of the fish, who jumped up to get the fly.
The bear then jumped into the river to catch the fish.
The mouse scurried out into the open to go off in search of his dinner.
The cat fell out of the tree into the river.
So what is the moral of the story?
“IF THE FLY DROPS SIX INCHES THE PUSSY IS GOING TO GET WET!”
