A man was walking along the highway when he discovered an old lamp.
You know the kind, it was one of those old lamps that you find in movies like Aladdin.
So, naturally he rubbed it, as pretty much anyone would do, and to his surprise a genie appeared from the lamp and said to him,”Thank you for releasing me from the lamp. I have been trapped inside that lamp for one hundred years. I will grant you one wish”.
The man thought for a minute and said to the genie, “Well, I have never been to Hawaii because I never could afford it. Could you make a highway from here to Hawaii so I could just drive over there anytime?”
The genie sighed and said, “Oh man, I have been in this genie business for ten thousand years and I am really quite tired. Can’t you think of something a little more simple than a higway to Hawaii?”
The man thought for a while, and said to the genie, “Well, you know, I have been married to my wife for five years now, but I still can’t understand her. Could you change things so I can understand her from now on?”
The genie sighed again, this time a really deep sigh, and said to the man, “Ok, would you like two lanes or four?”
