One afternoon, the wife was at home in the middle of doing her housework, when the phone rang. It was her husband on the phone.
He said to her, “Hi honey. I have been asked to go on a fishing trip at a big lake up in Canada with my boss and several of his friends. We are going to be gone for a week”.
Her husband continued, “This is a good opportunity for me to get that promotion I’ve been wanting, so would you please pack me enough clothes for a week and also get out my rod and fishing box. We are going to be leaving straight from the office,so I will swing by the house to pick my things up after work”.
“Oh yes”, he added, remembering something. “Please can you pack my new blue silk pajamas, would you”.
Well his wife thought this sounded a little fishy, but being a good wife, she did exactly what her husband asked.
The following weekend her husband came home from his trip away.
He was looking a little tired, but otherwise looking good.
His wife welcomed him home and asked him if he had caught many fish?
He said, “Oh yes! Lot’s of Walleye, some Bluegill, and a few Pike. But why didn’t you pack my new blue silk pajamas like I asked you to do?”
His wife replied, “I did pack them honey, they were in your fishing box!”
