A mother took her sixteen year old daughter to see the doctor.
The doctor beckoned the pair into his consulting room and said to the mother, “Good afternoon Mrs. Jenkins, what’s the problem?”
The mother said, “Well doctor, it’s my daughter Bethany. She keeps getting these cravings you see. She has started putting on weight and is sick most mornings”.
The doctor gave Bethany a good examination, then turned to the mother and said, “Well, I don’t know how to tell you this, but your Bethany is pregnant and about 4 months would be my guess”.
The mother replied, “Pregnant! What nonsense! She can’t be, she has never ever been left alone with a man! Have you, Bethany?”
Bethany replied, “No mother! I’ve never even kissed a man!”
The doctor thought for a minute, then he walked over to the window and just stared out of it.
About five minutes of watching him, finally the mother said, “Is there something wrong out there doctor?”
The doctor replied, “No, not really Mrs Jenkins. It’s just that the last time anything like this happened, a star appeared in the East and three wise men came over the hill. I’ll be darned if I’m going to miss it this time!”
