An Italian, a Scotsman and a Chinaman were hired as labourers at a construction site. Yes it’s one of those jokes and it’s best if you read it in your head or out loud in Italian, Scottish and CHinese accents. Even better if they are terrible accents but it adds to the fun.
The foreman pointed out a huge pile of sand and said to the Italian guy, “Today, you are in charge of sweeping.”
Then, turning to the Scotsman he said, “Today, you are in charge of shoveling.”
Next, the foreman turned to the Chinaman and said “Today, you are in charge of supplies.”
He then said to all three of them, “Now, I have to leave the construction site for a little while. I expect you guys to make a significant dent in that there pile of sand while I am gone”.
So, the foreman went away for a couple of hours to put his feet up.
When he returned, he saw that the pile of sand was still untouched and the Italian and Scotsman were just sitting around.
Rather angry at seeing this, he said to the Italian man, “Why didn’t you sweep any of this?”
The Italian replied in a heavy accent, “I no getta broom. You tella the Chinesea guy he inna charge ofa supplies, but he disappear and I could no find him!”
Then the foreman turned to the Scotsman and asked “Didn’t I tell you to shovel?”
The Scotsman replied in his heavy brogue, “Aye, ye did lad, but I couldna get meself a shovel. Ye left the Chinee in charge of supplies, but I couldna find him!”
The foreman was really angry now, a whole day’s work had been wasted and he stormed off toward the pile of sand, looking for the Chinaman.
Just then, the Chinaman sprang out from behind the pile of sand and yelled “SUPPLIES!”
I trust you read this in accents and got a good laugh out of it. Worth a share? Of course it is, go on hit the share button. Thank you.
