Realising that his son had reached the age of thirteen, a father asked his son if he knew about the birds and the bees.
“I don’t want to know!” the child said, obviously troubled by this and he suddenly burst into tears.
Confused as to what the problem was, the father asked his son what on earth was wrong.
“Oh dad”, the boy sobbed and gave his father a big hug.
“When I turned six I got the speech about there being no Santa Claus. When I turned seven I got the speech about there not being an Easter Bunny. Then at age eight you told me there is no such thing as the Tooth Fairy!”
“But why are you upset now?” his father asked him.
The boy replied, “If you’re going to tell me now that grown-ups don’t really have sex, I’ve got nothing left to live for!”
