Jenny’s mother decided that her daughter should get something practical for her 10th birthday, rather than just more toys.
“How would you like it if we opened a savings account for you?” her mother suggested.
Jenny was delighted, so when her brthday came around, she went with her mother to the local bank.
“It’s your account, darling”, Jenny’s mother said as they walked into the bank, “so you can fill out the application form”.
Jenny was doing fine until she came to the place on the form where it asked for the “Name of your former bank”.
With just a slight hesitation, she put down “Piggy”.
Of course you can tell this isn’t a true story, have you tried to open a bank account lately? Even most adults (well me at least) struggle to complete everything on the form. Even if you just want to deposit money and don’t want an overdraft or a loan, the application forms are so complicated it almost implies they don’t want your money.
