The Judge asked the prosecuting solicitor, “How many peaches were in the tin?”

The prosecuting solicitor replied, “Four peaches Your Honour”.

The Judge said to Mrs O’Hennessy, “You will serve one month’s imprisonment for each peach. Go with the officer”.

As they started to lead her away, Patrick O’Hennessy shouts from the back of the court, “She also took a tin of peas!”
