A helicopter lost power while flying over a remote Scottish island and the pilot had no choice but to make an emergency landing.
After a somewhat tricky but successful landing on a hill top, the pilot got out of the helicopter and made his way on foot to a cottage that he could see across the other side of the valley.
The pilot walked up to the cottage and knocked on the door.
“Is there a mechanic in the area?” he asked the old woman who answered.
The old woman thought for a minute.
“No”, she replied, “but we do have a McArdle and a McKay”.
I suspect some people won’t get this, at least not on first read. If that’s you, just read it again, try to do it in your best Scottish accent and think “Scottish”. The penny should drop soon enough.
