A new retirement community opened in town and after the first batch of elderly people had moved in, the community manager summoned them all to a meeting in the lounge.
The manager addressed all the new residents, stating that he wanted to make them aware of some of the rules of the community.
“Firstly”, the manager began, “the female sleeping quarters will be out-of-bounds for all males. Likewise, the male sleeping quarters will be out-of-bounds to the females. Anybody caught breaking this rule will be fined £20 the first time that they are caught breaking the rules”.
The manager coughed and then continued, “Anybody caught breaking this rule the second time will be fined £60”.
The manager continued again, “Being caught a third time will cost you a fine of £180. Are there any questions?”
At this point, an older gentleman stood up in the crowd and inquired: “How much for a season pass?”
