I guess you could really call me a nervous flyer. Actually, it would be more accurate to call me a VERY nervous flyer. The thought of being in an aircraft flying thousands of feet up in the air when something goes wrong, well it just petrifies me. I guess if you are a nervous flyer too you understand what I mean.
During my last flight, while we were over the ocean, I noticed that the cabin lights were flickering.
Somewhat concerned, I mentioned this to a flight attendant.
“I’ll take care of it”, she said. Moments later the lights went out. Clearly she had “solved” the problem by turning off the cabin lights.
The guy sitting next to me turned and said, “Whatever you do, please don’t ask about the engines”.
