My grandson Sammy, has worn glasses since he was three years old.
I will always remember when he was in the first grade and came home one day, obviously very distressed.
Wanting to find out what was the matter, his mother asked, “Sammy, what happened at school today to upset you so much?”
He answered, “It’s not fair Mom. I’m not allowed to go to the library like the other kids”.
His mother became very concerned and asked him, “Why aren’t you allowed to go to the library?”
With tears in his eyes, little Sammy said, “Because, in order to go to the library, you have to have supervision, and I wear glasses”.
