When you think of tornados you think of Kansas, right? Kansas and tornados just seem to go together like salt and pepper don’t they.
A powerful tornado hit a Kansas farmhouse just before dawn one morning.
In something like a scene from The Wizard Of Oz, or maybe Twister even, the tornado tore off the roof of the farmhouse and picked up the beds on which the farmer and his wife slept were sleeping, lifting them high up into the sky.
By some miracle, the tornado set the couple down unharmed the next county over, before it dissipated just as quickly as it came.
When the farmer came to after their landing, his wife was sobbing uncontrollably.
“Don’t be scared, Mary”, the farmer said. “We’re not hurt.”
The farmer’s wife just continued to cry.
“I’m not scared”, the farmer’s wife said in between sobs, “I’m happy… This is the first time in 14 years we’ve been out together!”
