A man had been in hospital for 30 years when for no apparent reason, he suddenly woke up from his coma.
After waking up, he got assessed by a team of specialists, who agreed that his medical condition was stable and he would be able to go home.
A few days later, the man received a phone call from his bank.
He heard an automated voice telling him: “Dear Mr. Erickson, we are sorry to say that due to recent economic events, the total value of your investment portfolio is $950 billion”.
The man was absolutely thrilled to hear the news, he couldn’t believe that after 30 years in a coma he was worth that amount of money. It was far more than even he could imagine. “He, a billionaire” he thought to himself and practically did a happy dance in his hallway.
He was so excited that he decided he needed a drink to celebrate, so he made his way to a local bar, where he ordered a pint of beer.
The barman poured the man a pint and the man asked him how much he owed.
“That will be $30 billion”, the barman replied.
