Arnold goes to see his supervisor who is in the front office at work.
“Boss,” he asks, “I wondered if it would be possible to take tomorrow off. We are doing some heavy house cleaning at home tomorrow, and my wife needs me to help with the attic and the garage. There is a lot of stuff to be moved and hauled around, and she insists that she needs me to help her.”
“We’re really short-handed right now, Arnold”, the boss replies. “Sorry, but I can’t give you the day off tomorrow.”
“Thanks, boss,” says Arnold. I knew I could count on you!”
