An elderly woman, who had five poodles, often had to make trips the veterinary clinic.
Over the years, she brought her pet poodles to see the vet for routine checkups and procedures, it goes without saying that she was devoted to her little dogs.
As time went by, however, one by one her beloved dogs grew older and died.
When the last of her five poodles had passed away, the vet expected to see a grieving client.
Instead, the elderly woman said to him, “Well, I guess that’s it then, I can get married”.
The vet looked at her with a very puzzled look and so the elderly woman explained to him. “My friend asked me to marry him 10 years ago, but he didn’t like my dogs, so I declined. Now that they’re gone, I can marry him”.
