A man was driving down a country road, when he spotted a farmer standing in the middle of a huge field of grass.
The farmer just appeared to be doing nothing, he was just standing there in the middle of the field of grass and the man thought that this looked rather unusual.
So he pulled the car over to the side of the road and noticed that the farmer was still just standing there in the middle of the field of grass, doing nothing and looking at nothing.
The man got out of his car, walked all the way out to where the farmer was standing in the middle of the field and asked him, “Ah excuse me mister, but what are you doing?”
The farmer replied, “I’m out here trying to win a Nobel Prize.”
“How’s that?” the man asked, puzzled.
“Well”, the farmer said, “I heard they give the Nobel Prize . . . to people who are out standing in their field”.
