An Irishman was busy at work in the fields, digging up potatoes.
Idly, an American tourist watched the Irishman dig and turn over the soil, time after time.
Eventually, curiosity got the better of him and he called over to the Irishman: “Hey, buddy, what’s that you’re doing?”
“I’m digging potatoes, sor”, the Irishman replied.
“Potatoes? Those small things? You call them potatoes? Back home in Iowa we have potatoes ten times that size!” the American replied.
“Yes, sor, I understand” the Irishman responded. “But you see, over here we only grow them to fit our mouths!”
