Murphy was a new employee at the office and he seemed to be working out ok, however after a few months he developed this habit of coming into work late every morning.
Patrick, who was the office supervisor, couldn’t help but notice him coming through the office door late every morning, so he decided to have a word with him.
Patrick pulled Murphy aside one morning, beckoned him into his office and explained that his tardiness was unacceptable. The other employees had also noticed he was coming in through the office door late every day, it just wasn’t right.
After listening to Patrick’s complaints, Murphy agreed that this was indeed a problem and even offered a solution to the problem.
After a brief pause, Murphy asked his supervisor, “Is there another door I could use?”
