I was thinking about broken bones the other day and it reminded me of an occasion when I was leading a tour of kindergarten students through our hospital.
During the tour, I overheard a conversation between one little girl and an x-ray technician.
“Have you ever broken a bone?” he asked her.
“Yes,” the girl replied.
“Did it hurt?” he asked her.
“No”, she said.
“Really? Which bone did you break?” he asked, puzzled as to why it wouldn’t hurt.
The girl replied, “The one in my sister’s arm”.
