A woman and a very young baby were in the doctor’s examining room, waiting for the doctor to come in for the baby’s first physical examination.
After they had been waiting for a few minutes, the doctor arrived and proceeded to examine the baby.
He checked the baby’s weight and being a little concerned as the baby was slightly underweight for his age, the doctor asked the woman if the baby was breast fed or bottle fed.
“Breast fed”, the woman replied.
“Would you please strip down to your waist”, the doctor asked her.
So, the woman did as the doctor ordered and stripped down to her waist.
The doctor proceeded to pinch her nipples, pressed, kneaded and rubbed both breasts for a while, all in a very professional and detailed examination manner.
Motioning to her to get dressed, the doctor said to her, “Well, no wonder this baby is underweight. You don’t have any milk”.
“I know”, the woman replied with a smile. “I’m his Grandmother not his mother, but I am sure glad I came!”
