Have you ever received an unexpected phone call on Christmas Day?
Keith and Janet decided to call an old friend who lived across the pond, to wish them seasons greetings at Christmas.
A little unsure of what they were doing, since they rarely made international calls and it’s not as easy as you think, they dialed their old friend’s phone number.
The phone rang a few times and then both waited in anticipation for him to pick up the phone,
When he answered the phone, they joyfully sang Christmas Carols to him.
However, when they had finished their horribly out of tune rendition of a Christmas Carol, they realized that they had dialed the wrong number and serenaded what turned out to be a complete unsuspecting stranger.
They had a good laugh about it and apologized for interrupting the stranger’s Christmas Day.
“Don’t worry about it”, said the bemused unintended receiver of their phone call. “You two need all the practice you can get”.
