The Alamo

The Alamo6th March 1836 started off quietly, just like any other day at The Alamo.

Davy Crockett woke up and rose from his bunk on the main floor of the fort, and as he usually did after getting up, then walked up to the observation post that was situated along the west wall of the fort.

William B. Travis and Jim Bowie were already there at the observation post,  and they were looking out over the top of the wall.

These three great men gazed at the hordes of Mexicans moving toward them.

With a puzzled look on his face, Davie Crockett turned to Jim Bowie and said: “Jim, are we having some landscaping done today?”

And the rest as they say, is history…
