Whenever I hear a story about air conditioning in restaurants, it makes me think of my wife, who more often than not gets cold when we go to a restaurant. Years ago the kids used to be the same, so even on a hot day when we went out to eat, I would have to take a couple of sweaters in with me, just in case.
But I digress, back to this short story about air conditioning in a restaurant. I think we can all recall similar experiences to this one.
A couple were eating in a restaurant and the man was continually bothering the waiter about the air conditioning. First, he would ask for the air conditioning to be turned up because it was too hot, then he would ask it be turned down because it was to cold.
This went on for at least a half an hour.
To the surprise of the rest of the customers in the restaurant, who were by now well aware of the situation, the waiter seemed to be very patient, walking back and forth, staying calm and very pleasant.
Finally, one of the customers asked the waiter, “Why don’t you just throw the pest out?”
“Oh, I don’t care”, the waiter replied with a big grin on his face, “we don’t even have air conditioning”.
