Mike came back recently from an African safari.
After his arrival, he went to visit his friend, Brendan and told him all about his adventures while he was in Africa.
“One day I was out in the jungle”, he said, “when all of a sudden I heard a noise in the bush behind me. Looking back, I saw a huge lion, licking his chops and smiling at me”.
“Oh My God”, Brendan said, “what happened next?”
Mike continued, “The lion started coming my way and I started running, with the lion not far behind me. When the lion had just about caught up with me and was almost at my neck, he suddenly slipped and I got ahead a bit”.
“Wow that was a lucky break”, Brendan said.
Mike continued with his story, while Brendan looked on in amazement.
“The lion started gaining on me again and as he got closer, once again he slipped. I happened to see a hut not far away, so I made towards it. I got close to the hut with the lion almost on top of me, when he slipped for a third time. With my very last bit of strength, I ran into the hut and quickly closed the door in the lion’s face”.
“That’s some story, Mike, I would have crapped in my pants”, Brendan said.
Mike replied, “Well, what do you think the lion kept slipping on?”
