Their 30th wedding anniversary was due, so Charles asked his wife Margaret, what she would like to do to celebrate it.
“Would you like a new fur coat?”, he asked her.
“Not really Charles”, Margaret said.
“Well how about a new Mercedes sports car?”, Charles asked her.
“No thanks”, she responded.
“Well, how about a new vacation home in the country?”, Charles suggested to her.
Margaret again rejected his offer with a firm “No thank you Charles”.
“Well, what would you like for your anniversary?”, Charles asked.
“Charles, I would like a divorce”, answered Margaret.
“I’m sorry darling, I wasn’t planning to spend quite that much”, Charles replied.
I’m not totally sure, but I do believe that’s when the fighting started…
